I am a nerd. I prefer the term geek, but let's call it like it is. I'm also a husband, a father, and a musician - not necessarily in that order.
My current technology gig has been at a top 10 pediatric hospital making clinical data useful for medical research. It's extremely challenging and lots of fun! It means finding the right mix of data warehousing, business intelligence, and application development to turn lots of ugly data into a nice sleek set of measurable parameters.
Prior to that I owned an IT Infrastructure company, worked as a SysAdmin at a hospital, and worked for a regional ISP doing tech support, network engineering, system administration, and... well... stuff.
I've also been married to my amazing wife since the late 90's, have 4 kids (one girl and 3 boys), and occasionally play a musical gig here and there.
